About a Little Bit of Everything

So surprisingly you will find nothing that relates to Boston sports or New England in general on this site. This is intentional as my passion is generally not shared for the likes of the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, or Bruins down here in the south. I am totally ok with that, it is the southeners who are missing out on a great heritage and great teams that tend to win more often than not, at least recently.

The answer is quite simple honestly, the weather in New England is not exactly stellar, I had snow days in April growing up in southern New Hampshire, school was not cancelled unless we got a good foot of snow over night and even then it was a long shot. The nine month winters did not bother me until I gave up skiing. Nine months of snow and having giving up virtually one of the only entertaining outlets for that season gives you limited choices, mostly its just stay inside and drink yourself stupid along with your closests friends. There is no denying that I grew up in a great place which I would be proud to raise children of my own in some day but it was small town and had a small town feel I needed to escape and that escape needed to be to a city, even further away then Boston, a place I grew up only 30 minutes north from. So in short I did my messing around bit after I graduated high school in 2006 and quite honestly messed up pretty good. Finally after getting everything together at a community college up there I decided what better way to move and have a lot of that paid for by the parents then to transfer, still attend school, a better school, and have the parents helping me out along the way so long as I did not trip again, or its my ass.

So up popped the beautiful College of Charleston on my list of potentials, along with several in the Boston area, New Hampshire my home state and a couple in between here and there. Long story short I stepped foot on campus here during a tour and there really was not even a chance for the other schools. The weather, the school, the city, the people, I mean really must I explain myself.

Here I am, having lived here for two years come August it is amazing how time flies, and I have recently signed another year lease so as to ensure that I will not be seeing Charleston in my rearview anytime soon. I will graduate in December 2011, although 5 1/2 years from high school to graduation from college is not exactly impressive I am proud as hell given what I went through prior to it. Sorry it is mostly about me not the site but pretty much this stuff is straight forward with a bit of creation on my part to try and make these assignments meaningful, funny or just utilitarian, hope you enjoy it.

A little inspiration came from the company I interned for this past semester, All In Entertainment. They are a concert promoter and booker in the Southeast the work was awesome at times and others well not so much but still an experience that I will not soon forget.

Sorry for all you New England fans, next time its all about you and me
